Tomatoes

We begin the journey of our tomatoes in April, starting them from seed in peat moss enriched with organic fertilizer. For the first 6 to 8 weeks, these young plants are nurtured indoors under the glow of grow lights. By mid to late May, they are strong enough to be transplanted into our greenhouse, where they flourish until they're ripe and ready for harvest in August.
 
This year, our selection includes beefsteak, medium vine, and plum (also known as roma) tomatoes. All of our tomato varieties are indeterminate, meaning they grow on vines rather than bushes. This allows us to continually harvest and care for the plants until a hard frost signals the end of the season, usually occurring in late September or early October.
